ARTIST STATEMENT

I start by drawing all of my designs by hand on paper. I carve them by hand with a variety of hand tools, carvings knives, and saws. I occasionally use power tools to remove bulky excess material, but I otherwise am committed to completing the process manually out of different types of wood.
