ARTIST STATEMENT
I specialize in wheel-thrown utilitarian pottery. My main clay bodies are a white porcelain blend and stoneware. Most of my work is carved into to create patterned textures. I use custom slips and underglaze to enhance the carving pattern to give the pieces a sharper contrast.
